The Marquis of Huntly's Farewell
32 bar Strathspey.
Throughout this dance whenever two dancers advance and retire they take right hands for an instant before parting.
1-4 1st woman and 3rd man advance and retire.
5-8 1st woman and 3rd man change places by crossing over and casting
round 2nd person.
1st man and 3rd woman advance and retire.
9-12 1st, 2nd and 3rd couples face partners and advance and retire.

13-16 1st and 3rd couples advance diagonally in and retire out to
the position on their left.
2nd couple dance half round them counterclockwise.
All end on 'wrong' sides in the order 1 2 3.

17-18 2nd couple advance (one step) and retire (one step), the woman
up the centre and the man down.
lst and 3rd couples dance round to
the next position on their right.
19-20 1st and 3rd couples advance diagonally (one step) and retire
diagonally (one step) to where they ended on bar 16.
2nd couple dance
round them counter-clockwise to 2nd place, 'wrong' sides.
21-24 1st couple cross, giving right hands, and cast off into 3rd
place.
2nd and 3rd couples turn by the right hand half round and dance
up one place to own sides.
1st and 3rd couples. advance diagonally
(one step) and retire (one step) to the next position on their left.

25-26 They repeat this.
29-30 1st and 3rd couples advance towards partners (one step) and retire (one step)
31-32 They advance, turn by the right hand half round and retire to own sides.
Repeat, having passed a couple.
