1-8 lst and 3rd. couples cross over, giving right hands, cast off
one place.
(2nd and 4th couples moving up on 3-4), dance half figures of
eight round the couples above them and cross over to first corners,
giving
left hands to partners.
9-16 1st and 3rd couples turn corners and partners - first corners by the right hand, partners left hand, second corners right hand, partners left hand - and finish facing corners again, ready for
17-24 Diagonal reels of four, 1st and 3rd couples with their first corners (see Fig. 1). They finish passing partners left shoulder, ready for
25-28 Right hands across once round 1st woman with 2nd couple, 1st man and 3rd woman with 4th couple, 3rd man with 5th couple (see Fig. 2).
29-32 1st and 3rd couples turn partners by the left hand and cast off one place on own sides (4th and 5th couples moving up on 31-32).
Repeat with couples now in 1st and 3rd places beginning.
