1-8 1st couple set, cast off one place and turn with left hands to finish facing first corners. 2nd couple step up on bars 3 and 4.
9-16 1st couple turn 1st corners with right hands, partner with left hands, 2nd corners with right hands and partner with left hands to finish facing 1st corners.
17-22 Reels of three on the side, 1st couple passing left shoulder to 1st corner to begin.
23-24 1st couple giving right hands cross up to top place while 2nd couple cast off to 2nd place.
23-28 1st couple set and dance a ½ turn with right hands to finish (as in Figure 1) in the middle facing down the dance, woman on partner's right.
29-32 4th couple set, advancing, and turn right round with left hands to finish in the middle facing up, woman on partner's right.
33-36 2nd and 3rd couples set twice to partners, 2nd man and 3rd woman advancing to partners on the last two steps.
37-40 2nd couple ¾ turn with both hands to finish on woman's side while 3rd couple dancee 1¾ turn to finish on the men's side, women on partners' right. Figure 1.
41-46 All face partners and dance Grand Chain half way.
47-48 All turn partners once round with right hands.
49-54 Giving right hand to partner, continue Grand Chain half-way round to places.
55-56 All turn partners once round with right hands to finish facing in.
57-64 1st and 4th couples dance Ladies' Chain. Finish facing corner.
65-72 All set twice to corners and turn with both hands.
73-80 2nd and 3rd couples dance Ladies' Chain. Finish facing corners.
81-88 Repeat bars 65-72.
89-96 All dance eight hands round and back. Honour corner, then partner.
